Two years after his first go at replenishing his thinning coif,
Wayne Rooney returned to the Harley Street Hair Clinic in London this
weekend for a little touch-up.
The Manchester United man spent nine hours at the surgery center this
weekend and from all accounts, Rooney is back with a full crop up top
and doing well.
A source told The Sun: “It was very successful. He’s as pleased as
punch with the results and can’t wait to unveil his new look.” Continue...
Rooney’s first hair transplant took place back in 2011 when the
striker famously took to Twitter to confirm the procedure before the
tabloids could run amok. He wrote: “Just to confirm to all my followers I
have had a hair transplant.”
Rooney further explained his motives for the surgery: “I was going
bald at 25 why not. I’m delighted with the result.” The United man’s
light-hearted approach to the incident didn’t go unnoticed, tweeting:
“Anyone recommend any good hair gel. Haha. I had it done in Harley
street hair clinic London. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me.”
This time around Rooney wasn’t so garrulous but the clinic was quick
to explain that the England international’s surgery was ‘pre-planned’,
removing speculation that the first surgery simply didn’t hold up. “He
visited us for pre-planned second-stage treatment of his successful
transplant,” said the director of the clinic, Nadeem Uddin Khan. “This
was scheduled when he began in 2011. It’s standard.”
